rosie really didn't know why she passed over here. she knew what this area meant. that anything could happen and they were never good things. she just found herself to be walking this way, drawn to the fog and the dim gray sky. it only got severe at night around here, right? she let her fingers slide over the head stones as she walked, her eyes wide with wonder more than fear.

it was rather ironic, wasn't it, that richard would be hiding out in a cemetery, reading the names and the dates on the headstones without so much an inkling of emotion. everyone died. this he knew; some seemed to die too soon, some seemed to die after they no longer had any use. he'd considered himself to be in the latter for years now. the sound of someone walking caused him to whip his head in the direction of a girl... no, a woman, simply walking. he watched her, forcing himself to relax. she didn't seem real. she might not have been. she looked too.. angelic to exist.

there was a wind in the air, coming at her fast. she didn't know if it was supposed to be a menacing wind, but she closed her eyes and sighed with a soft smile when it passed her face. if it were a spirit or something, she was glad to have it pass through her so intimately. she glanced at the direction it passed, looking after the breeze almost longingly as though she could see it and spotted a man instead. with a mask. he reminded her of the phantom from the phantom of the opera and she almost burst into song, but the scenery made her wary that a vampire might lunge at her throat if she let out a single note. she glanced around a moment before taking a step forward and then waving once with a wiggle of her fingers and a big grin across her face. "heya." she said cheerly, wondering if this part was trying to scare her with him now. he wasn't scary in the slightest so the scary part of this world would have to do better to get her hair to stand on end.

he tilted his head to the side slightly, fascinated. he felt, for a moment, panicked that she had seen him before getting a hold of himself. he nodded his head slightly and murmured a quick, "hello," in reply.

she took another step forward. and then another. scary serial killers wouldn't say hello back, would they? no. well, she told herself no. truth be told, she was scared and he seemed to be out of place as much as she was. it would be better if she stuck around someone else instead of wandering around alone. he sounded like he had bad laryngitis and she rose her eyebrows slightly in a sympathetic manner but it went away as soon as the look came to her face. "am i disturbing your lone knight appeal by talking to you?" she asked with a coy grin, trying to be a bit humorous considering where they were.

he watched her take her wary steps forward. he wasn't expecting her to come closer, not at all, but the wariness was just part of a normal reaction when it concerned him. especially when meeting in a setting like this. "lone.. knight appeal?" he asked quietly, glancing down for a moment. he was simply in a cemetery; he didn't realize that it signified anything to that nature. though, he guessed, that did describe him accurately, even if he didn't want it to. "even if it is.. it doesn't matter. we're the only ones that will know."

rosemary giggled and swayed slightly to the side and brushed a red strand of hair behind her ear. way to obviously flirt, rosie. in a graveyard no less. she straightened herself out and took the last few steps with more of a sure stride and leaned up against a tree that was near to him. she jutted out forward for a moment, almost at a bow, holding out her hand. "i'm rosemary. rosie, if you'd like, doll." she grinned, batting her eyelashes. keep it in your pants, girl. lord have mercy. she really hated her mind sometimes. "save me from the ghosts if they appear?" she asked with a tilt of her head, a curl of hair sliding down her cheek.

is she insane? stupid? both? his first thoughts were cold, true, but what else could one expect? he gazed at her outstretched hand for a moment before murmuring,"richard.. harrow." he shook her hand. his lip twitched, very nearly smiling (or as much as he was capable of). "no such thing.. literally." he was still sure that there was something wrong with this girl; maybe she was blind? no... just foolish. different.

rosemary grinned before shaking his hand once before letting go. "pleasure to meet you, richard harrow." he seemed to be starting at her like she was insane. or was that just how he normally looked? the grin slowly disappeared as her mind started to poke at her emotions. she barely got her name out and he hated her. she was too odd. too different. at least he acted normally, right? even with a pretty face, people will still hate you if you're annoying. she bit her lip and looked away, wrinkling her eyebrows with deep paranoia racking her brain. she sighed and looked back up, putting on a mask of her own with another smile. "how do you know? there could be. especially here."
