edward scissorhands immortal I lonely I straight I humanoid machine edward is a gentle, curious robot who lives by himself in a mansion on a hill. He is the only machine that still operates and looks close to a person. His sweet disposition would normally draw people to him, but being away from the modern world has made him weak-willed and people can take advantage of him easily, while the scissors on his hands scare the rest off. He's endlessly curious about what happens outside of the stone walls of his master's abode, and would leave if he had the heart or courage to. He's also naive, and doesn't know much about anything. Despite being kind and a tad dense, he understands the feeling of being hurt and is angered easily when it comes tot that. He would never use his scissors as a weapon, even when provoked.

I think Elena would adore him once she got to know him. At first she may be a bit cautious, after all those things do look sharp. But once he earns her trust, well enough trust that she thinks he won't hurt her I could see her trying to teach him about the world and protect him from cruel things and such.

That sounds perfect! I agree completely with the good friends thing. edward would be cautious too because he doesn't know much about "normal" people.
