JOHNNY C.
NNY, "SCARY NEIGHBOR MAN" | CANON | JOHNNY THE HOMICIDAL MANIAC
____________________
History; Not much is known about Johnny's past. To tell the truth, he doesn't even remember much at all. It's rumored that his parents were murdered when he was quite young, though whether by someone else or himself, it isn't clear. Apparently, in school he was ridiculed for being so thin- which probably didn't help with his future issues of self-hatred. He was an artist who seemed to favor painting as his medium for a period of his life before he descended further into his insanity, eventually loosing his artistic talent and unable to draw much more than stick figures. He became the author of the comic known as "Happy Noodle Boy" after this, though it's likely that he never had his work published due to it's sick humor. It's unknown just how long Johnny lived in his current house, though at some point in time he realized that there was a monster behind a wall of his house (as well as a torture chamber). If he did not constantly paint the wall with fresh blood, the creature would escape. Over time, left alone with his madness, his insanity took physical, seperate forms as the three manifestations known as "the doughboys" and Nailbunny. The "doughboys" seemed to refer to the monster as their "master", and tried to convince Johnny to kill himself on a regular basis, while Nailbunny seemed to be the little piece of a 'consience' he had left. Probably due to the fact that Johnny did despise himself, and they knew if he were to stop painting to wall, the monster would be free. Johnny became, quite obviously, a homicidal maniac, and murdered people weekly (if not daily). His crimes went unbelievably unnoticed by the community, not that he seemed to care. After one of his murders, he broke into his neighbor's house through the window- looking for Bactine for the cuts and scrapes he'd gotten. It was here that he met Todd Casil or "Squee", the nextdoor neighbors' child, and became his "friend". Eventually, he saved Squee from a child molester, and became somewhat of a "big brother" for him. Which was sad really, as due to Squee's parents' utter neglect of his wellbeing, a serial killer became his best friend. Albeit a freaking scary one. Somewhere along the line he was in a relationship with a woman named Devi D. for a short time, though when he tried to kill her, things obviously went downhill. Later on, he managed to accidentally shoot himself in the head. In the afterlife he went to both Heaven and Hell (where he met a number of his previous victims), and he absolutely despised both. In the end, he was left wondering whether the whole experience was a dream or not, though was leaning towards the second one for numerous reasons. It can be assumed that after this experience, the "monster" no longer exists, leaving him questioning his sanity even more. Resolving to become completely emotionless, he attempted to speak with Devi over the phone, to no avail. He spoke with Squee one last time, telling him that he would be going on a "vacation", and left the dysfunctional little city. His fate is now uknown.
Personality; Johnny is quite deranged and obviously the opposite of mentally stable. He doesn't seem to have much of a conscience, and seems to enjoy torturing as well as murdering his victims- given his mood. He believes the majority of people in the world are not innocent- even if they have done nothing to him to make him believe so. However, he has shown regret when he finds someone he could have possibly truly connected with on some level, and still felt compelled to kill them. While most of the time he truly does enjoy bringing pain to others, it is due to the fact that he believes he is getting some sort of vengeance. Still, he seems to also hate himself and his actions at the same time- shown by his rants and suicide attempts. His insanity is almost always apparent by how he can change subject so rapidly, spout random nonsense, do things for absolutely no reason, or even incriminate himself. However, on rare occasions, he has short and suprising moments of lucidity. In these moments, he can seem sane, sociable, sometimes cheerful, and philosophical- pondering the mysteries of life and studying humanity. Many of these thoughts are written in his "Die-ary", usually after he has gone on a murdering spree. He also seems to have some morals, as he absolutely despises pedophiles and rapists- shown by how brutally he murders them. Perhaps he considers himself the "better of two evils".
Skills; Nny seems to have a near superhuman knack for murdering people, as the authorites are enitrely unable to catch him (if they're even trying) and seem completely unaware to his existence- despite the fact that most of his murders are public or witnessed by a few survivors. He is also quite aware of this and even takes advantage of this. He doesn't seem to be able to die, either- though he has been (quite literally) to Heaven, Hell, and back. He is still unsure if these experiences are dreams or not. The supernatural or paranormal seems to follow him like a magnet, as mentioned before, his insanity is so severe that it has manifested itself as three seperate "entities"; Psychodoughboy, Mr. Eff, and Nailbunny- the last being the closet thing to a "conscience" he has, and the other two trying to convince Johnny to commit suicide. There is also something behind a wall of his house that will escape if he does not constantly paint it with the blood of his victims- quite possibly a monster from Hell. In an ironic view, one could say that his murders prevent this "Thing" from killing even more people.
