Ramona was once again making a delivery for Amazon.ca, using her oh so convenient subspace travel powers to take a shortcut. There were a network of travel paths connecting portals to each other, and as she roller skated through the subspace highway, she realized with some alarm that she was inside someone's head. Whoever was currently dreaming, had a subspace highway in their brain. Their dream world had manifested as a large desert, and as she skated closer, she could see the outline of a person, but not their face.
"...Hello?" she called out as she approached them, slowing down on her rollerskates.

Startled, Simon turned around, nearly falling over his own feet. The voice has come from a girl with brightly colored hair, wearing goggles. He looked down to see a pair of skates strapped onto her feet. Swallowing hard, Simon looked back up, offering her a small smile. "Um, hello. Who are you?" For a moment Simon had forgotten that this strange girl was, in fact, inside his head. When the realization hit him, he stepped back a few feet, eyeing her carefully. "What are you doing inside my head?"

"You happen to have a really convenient subspace highway that runs through your brain," she said by way of explanation. "I use it to deliver packages and stuff. You're dreaming right now." He was actually kind of cute, despite the fact that he dressed like a giant nerd. Ramona could dig it. Plus, she needed a distraction from her lingering feelings for Scott. "I'm Ramona Flowers," she said, offering out a hand for him to shake. "Professional delivery girl, at your service."

"Dreaming?" Simon's brow furrowed as she stared at her, trying to process what she was telling him. As smart as he was, sometimes the simplest things confused Simon. Not wanting to appear rude, he extended his hand, shaking hers. "Simon Tam. Dr. Simon Tam. It's a pleasure, Ramona." He let go of her hand, smiling. She was a cute girl. But he was certain she was scrutinizing him. Women tended to do that with him. Simon shoved his hands into his trouser pockets. "Delivery girl? Do you deliver all over the Verse?"

"Yeah, it's...maybe subspace is just an American thing. I was in Canada recently and no one had heard of it. Don't worry, it confused me too when I first heard of it." She smiled and let go of his hand. "It...sort of works like the subspace in Super Mario 2. Sort of." The Verse? Oh, like the universe. This Simon guy must be from a lot farther away than Canada, Ramona decided. The package she was carrying under her arm had grown uncomfortable to hold, so she opened her subspace purse and popped it in there. "Yeah, pretty much. I go places that normal delivery people can't. Kind of a side effect of having your ex-boyfriend turn your emotions into a literal weapon." She gave a short sigh of annoyance. It seemed that even when Gideon wasn't there, he found himself a way to be the center of the conversation.

Simon attempted to give her his full attention. But when she slipped the seemingly large package into the small purse slung across her shoulder, his eyes widened. But he remained quiet until she finished. "Canada? Is that near the outer planets?" Everything the girl was saying was very confusing to him. But then again, he was dreaming. So he didn't put anything past her or himself. "You sound a bit like Mal. He delivers things, well, in a way. Most of them are illegally, but I don't question his methods." Simon decided it wasn't even worth it to ask what Super Mario 2 was.

"The outer planets...? Oh damn, I must be taking a very long subspace shortcut. Where are you from, exactly?" She squinted at him curiously. "Canada's a country. In North America. You know...on Earth." So she was talking with an alien. Or possibly someone from very far in the future. Whatever Simon was, the fact that he wasn't even from her planet gained him some serious cool points. "You know another delivery person? Sweet! If I wasn't in your dream right now, I'd ask you if you wanted to hang out sometime, but...you're definitely from the future and I don't know how to time travel, so there goes that." Ramona shrugged and reached into her purse again, pulling out a small slip of paper. "If they still have phones where you're from, here's my number. In case you need delivery help." The piece of paper had her name written in all caps, her number, and then below it, what any ordinary person would think were seven little kisses - xxxxxxx. However, only Ramona knew that those really stood for her seven evil exes.
